How can we help?
Step-by-step answers for PVology, written for what you are trying to do.
Getting started
- Customer 360: one customer for every applicationOpen Menu → Customers and choose Register a customer. Register each customer once; choose it when you start a project and link it to its CRM company. The customer's page then shows every engagement you can open: projects, deals and contacts.
- How to archive and restore recordsArchive removes a record from the active list but keeps it, its history and its links. Use the Show filter (Active, Archived, All) to find archived records, then select them and choose Restore.
- How to confirm your email addressOpen the confirmation email PVology sent when you registered and select the link. The link expires after 24 hours; you can request a new one on the Confirm your email page or from Sign in.
- How to create a PVology accountGo to pvology.com, choose Get Started, fill in your name, email, password and account type, accept the Terms of Use and choose Create account. Then open the confirmation email to activate the account.
- How to pick up where you left off with Continue workingHome → Continue working lists up to six things you were working on: saved drafts first (Resume), then records in progress such as a project setup, value study, risk review, control test, strategy review, CRM opportunity or report draft (Continue). Only applications you can open here are shown.
- How to save a wizard draft and resume laterGuided wizards save a draft on this device as you type ("Draft saved"). Choose Save draft or Save and exit at any time. When you open the wizard again, choose Resume draft. Drafts are only on your device and are never shared.
- How to select many records and act on them togetherIn a register, tick the records (or Select this page, then Select all N matching). A bar shows exactly how many are selected and offers actions such as Archive, Restore, Change status, Assign owner and Report on selected. The result page lists what succeeded, was skipped or failed, with reasons.
- How to sign in to PVologyOpen Sign in, enter your email and password and choose Sign in. If two-step sign-in is on, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
- How to switch between your personal workspace and an organizationAt the top of every page, choose the workspace in Working in and select Switch. Everything you then see, create and buy belongs to that workspace.
- How to use and customize an application dashboardEach application has a Dashboard (for example Risk → Dashboard). Choose a bar or list item to open the records behind it. Under Customize this dashboard you can hide, show and move widgets, or Restore the recommended layout. Your layout is saved for you in this workspace.
- How to use and customize PVology HomeHome shows what needs your attention, your applications, recent changes and records to continue. Choose Customize Home to reorder, hide sections or change density for the current workspace, or reset it to the default.
- How to use the Setup steps at the top of HomeThe strip at the top of Home shows Setup N of M and the next step. Choose Show steps to see the steps for your account, your workspace, your organization and billing, each with a button to the exact page. Steps tick themselves when done; you can Skip this or hide the strip and bring it back from the account menu (Setup and getting started).
- What do Required, Recommended, Optional and Advanced mean?Required information is needed to create a valid record and says why. Recommended information is not required but enables more (for example reports, dashboards or links between applications) and says what it enables. Optional information is useful for some cases. Advanced is for specialised workflows.
- What does Applications at a glance on Home show? For each application you have, the number of records created or updated in the last 30 days in this workspace, out of all records. Applications with no records show Not set up yet with Continue setup. Sample records are not counted, applications you do not have are not shown, and there is no overall score.
- What happens when a notification link opens a record in another workspaceNotification and email links open the exact record and tab. If the record belongs to another workspace you belong to, PVology says so and offers Open in that workspace or Stay here. If you can no longer open it, the page explains why instead of showing an error.
- What the Next best action panel and "Why can't I?" tell youRecord pages show a Next best action panel: What happened, What it means and What to do next, with a button to the exact place. When you cannot use a button, it stays visible with "Why can't I?", which explains the reason, who can change it and the next step, such as Request access.
