Draft for legal review

This document is an initial draft. It has not yet been reviewed by a qualified lawyer and should not be treated as final legal documentation.

This notice explains what information PVology collects through pvology.com, why, and how it is protected. We follow the principle of data minimization: we collect only what a feature needs.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, account type, and a securely hashed password.
  • Profile and onboarding choices you provide, such as role, profession, industry, interests and objectives.
  • Ask PVology inputs and results, which you may save to your account.
  • Contact and interest submissions: the details you enter in our forms.
  • Organization information: organization name, members and their roles.
  • Security records: sign-in sessions (including IP address and browser for active sessions) and audit events, where IP addresses are stored as one-way hashes.
  • First-party usage events (for example, that a registration was completed). These do not include the content you type.

How we use information

  • To provide your account, PVology Home, Ask PVology and organization features.
  • To respond to inquiries and contact you about interests you registered.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and investigate incidents.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how PVology is used so we can improve it.

AI assistance

If AI assistance is enabled for Ask PVology, a minimal portion of the text you enter may be sent to a processing service to help summarize your need. AI never receives information you are not permitted to access. Please do not submit confidential or highly sensitive information.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers needed to run PVology (such as hosting and email delivery), or where required by law.

Retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your account.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update your profile, and contact us to access, correct or delete your information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law.
