How to select many records and act on them together
Short answer: In a register, tick the records (or Select this page, then Select all N matching). A bar shows exactly how many are selected and offers actions such as Archive, Restore, Change status, Assign owner and Report on selected. The result page lists what succeeded, was skipped or failed, with reasons.

Steps
- Open the register and filter it if you want.
- Tick records, or tick Select this page. To include every record that matches the filter (not only this page), choose Select all N matching.
- Choose the action. Archive asks for confirmation.
