PDF, Word or Excel: which report format should I use?
Short answer: PDF is a fixed layout for distribution (choose Save as PDF in the print dialog). Word is an editable report with headings and tables. Excel is for analysis: a Data sheet with real dates and numbers, a filter and a frozen header, plus Report and Definitions sheets.

PDF:
Opens the report's print layout. Choose Save as PDF as the destination. Table headers repeat on every page; wide registers print in landscape and long text moves to a Details section.
