How to create a project with the guided wizard

Short answer: Open Projects → New project. The wizard has six steps: Approach and context, Project essentials, Dates and reporting, People and governance, Cost and value, and How to start, then Review. Choose Create project on the Review step.

Steps

  1. Open Projects and choose New project.
  2. Approach and context: choose Predictive / Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid (or Not sure for a suggestion), and internal or external.
  3. Project essentials: Project name is required; Objectives and Scope summary are recommended.
  4. Dates and reporting: Planned start is required (it starts as today); Target finish is recommended.
  5. People and governance, and Cost and value: optional; choose Skip for now if you want to add them later.
