How to create a CAPA (corrective and preventive action)
Short answer: Open CAPA → Start a CAPA, or Create CAPA on a Governance & Assurance finding, or Start a CAPA on a problem. Record containment and correction and the CAPA type, then analyze, approve, act and review effectiveness by someone other than the lead. A CAPA never closes a finding.

When to use this
A nonconformity, a finding or a serious problem needs its cause corrected and its recurrence prevented, with proof that it worked.
